What do I do if

Absent from School

A note from my parent/caregiver is required to be given to the attendance office the day of my return to school if no MSM has been sent. If I am likely to be absent for several days, I will ask parent/caregiver to phone the school, or if I am going on holidays etc. the parent/caregiver will notify the school before I go away and I will collect an exemption form from the attendance office prior to leaving.

Wishing to leave school for some reason during the day

I must have a note from parent/caregiver requesting permission for me to leave school at a specific time and giving the reason.  I will report to eith Deputy to have my note signed then hand my note in to the attendance office to be processed.  I will collect my Early Leave Pass from the attendance office at recess.

Late to School

Report to the Absence Office for a late slip.  My name and the time will be entered in the computer. I will show my late slip to my teacher when I arrive at class.

Unable to participate in Sport

I will report to Sports Organiser.

I forget my sport money

I must report to the Sport Organiser early in the day.

I have lost property

I will check the room/area where I left it, ask the teacher(s), then I will check the Lost Property collection at the Front Office.

Feeling sick

If in Class, I will get a permission note from my teacher to report to Deputy or Head Teacher Welfare then to the clinic or to be sent home, if needed.  If outside the class, I will report to a member of staff. In cases of a more serious injury, someone should get teacher assistance.

Wanting to see a school counsellor

I should make an appointment with the Deputy Principal or directly with the School Counsellor. The Counsellor will send for me as soon as he/she is able.  My parents may make an appointment by telephoning the school.

I am not in correct uniform

I will bring a note from home explaining the situation.  The note will be brought to the Deputy Principal who will issue an out-of-uniform note.  I will be in correct uniform the next day or as soon as possible.

I am being bullied, harassed or picked on

I do not have to put up with this treatment. I will talk to my Teacher or my Year Adviser, School Counsellor or Deputy Principal who will assist me in solving the problem.

I need medication during school time

I will bring the required dosage to the Deputy Principal and I will collect it and take it at the arranged time at the Library.  I will not carry around any medication except my asthma inhaler (if I need one).
