INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY - MULTIMEDIA INDUSTRIES

Subject Overview

Students of the Stage 5 and Stage 6 courses engage in self directed, creative application of a variety of software and hardware to create multimedia presentations for a wide variety of audiences. The courses are designed to give students the opportunity to develop new skills in photo manipulation, audio production and editing, video making, software application and interface design. The projects are designed to challenge the students to be innovative, motivated and to work independently.

This course was introduced at MGHS in 2006. The students have shown an improvement in the quality of projects developed and have been on many excursions and involved in photographic work. Many students have contributed their photography to the school magazine, assisting Mrs Goldsworthy with the collection of the record of the fun activities as well as the educational events that occur regularly during the school day, or on the school calendar.

PRACTICAL ACTIVITIES OCCUPY A MAJORITY OF THE COURSE TIME TO MEET THE SYLLABUS REQUIREMENTS.
