The Ancient History Course provides students with opportunities to satisfy their fascination and interest in the stories of the past as well as mysteries of human behaviour. It also teaches critical and intelligent reading of events and documents as well as effective and fluent communication of narrative, detail, ideas and judgements.
Opportunities exist to participate in appropriate excursions and attend HSC Study Days.
Assessment includes:
- Source analysis - comprehending, locating, comparing, evaluating
- Research - answering questions on topics, organissing and presenting information in appropriate, coherent and logical forms
